Since graduating from Ohio University back in 1988, I've tackled New Hampshire's Presidential Traverse in January (not something I recommend if you like your toes), climbed 14ers in Colorado, hiked the 35-mile Rachel Carson Trail in a day, looked across the Andes from the summit of Ecuador's 19,347-foot Volcan Cotopaxi (and watched Tungurahua erupt just 50 miles away), caught trout on great waters like the Frying Pan, Dream Stream, Ruby, Big Spring, LeTort and Falling Spring, renovated two homes, and found something I love to do for a living.
In between all the outdoor adventures, I write. Since 1999, I've been with Mullen here in Pittsburgh as our Senior Writer and Associate Creative Director. Before Mullen, there was Hallmark/Tassone, Blattner/Brunner, The Marketing Group, Hallmark, and Kupper Advertising out in St. Louis where it all started. Over the years, I've had the chance to work at lots of great places with fun people on clients both large and small.
Sure, I consider my job something I do between vacations, but I'm lucky enough to love what I do and can't think of any better way to spend my days.
